“For the Greens, freshness and quality are the most important things, along with environmental sustainability and the happiness and welfare of their hens. Green Eggs are for people who share these values and want to supply the best products to their homes and customers, whilst supporting regional Victorian food producers.
We were asked to re-brand and package Green Eggs to communicate these values, and to have a some fun in the process. Check ‘em out at all discerning eateries.”

This is nice to see how the hand crafted type and illustration is applied to a well known packaging shape just by the sticker. As the packaging shape is so well known, everyone knows what will be inside - eggs, so the intention was to promote the values of the company which I think it does well. Its not too serious and bland, its visually engaging but still carries all the relevant information.

Justin’s Nut Butter

Boulder Colorado based Justin’s Nut Butters produces small-batch, natural and organic nut butters. TDA’s design brief stated: signal brand’s combined “culinary,” natural, and fun qualities. From this they created all new packaging with the marketing challenges of increasing distribution in fine food outlets (e.g. Dean & DeLuca, Whole Foods, Crystal Farms) without jeopardizing existing sales at lower-price supermarkets (e.g. Kroger, Safeway, King Sooper).

The main thing that attracted my attention on this was the almond in the middle with type on it. The whole composition kind of reminds me of a film poster - the 'star' in the middle and information at the top and bottom. The hand drawn type on the almond works well because it means it follow the curves of the object and give it a more 3D look instead of looking really flat.
