Brew Nerds Coffee
Designed by Mitre Agency | Country: United States
“Partnering with Brew Nerds from their inception, Mitre created a lo-fi, dry witted and whimsical brand identity that appeals to people who are serious about coffee but don’t take themselves too seriously.”

The hand crafted type and illustration on the Brew Nerds coffee cups give it a somewhat 'collectible' value to it; if people were buying the coffee from there, they would be likely to be hoping for a different one to look at while they drink. They look fun but at the same time, seem to include a lot of information.

The Flour Pot Bakery
Sarah Nicely
"The Flour Pot Bakery Pot strives for a healthy diet with high quality, natural ingredients and environmentally friendly practices. The bakery’s interior space is inviting and warm with natural lighting and eclectic funky displays advertising baked goods. This identity system was designed to convey the unique and handmade qualities of the bakery. The hand-drawn type was inspired by the wiry Christmas lights arranged throughout the dining area. I chose to design a menu that could be carried home without hassle. I placed all menu items on a baguette carry-out bag so that customers could carry the menu home easily while simultaneously being able to enjoy a Flour Pot baked good. An alternate menu for lunch is available for guests who dine in."

This sandwich packaging for the Flour Pot Bakery is a great idea of saving paper - by putting the shops menu on the baguette packaging, it means that every customer will be getting a take home menu but as it doubles up as the sandwich packaging - it serves 2 purposes as opposed to having a take home paper menu and seperate, plain packaging for the sandwich.
