'Vintage'

When I have thought about the current popularity of 'vintage style', I assumed it was work like collage with a black and white image...coloured geometric shapes etc. which I do think is a beautiful style but not something I want to focus on and emphasize in my work but what I do want to incorporate into my work is the colour palette.

Looking more and more at the work that I like, it became clear that it does have a 'vintage' feel to it in terms of the typography etc. therefore I must reference that as an inspiration.

The images below are from a generic search of 'vintage typography' - the resulting website did have a lot of examples that didn't really engage me but examples below show typefaces and colour palette's that I particularly liked.
