Inception

I wanted this poster to be relatively dark, quite like the night sky but I wasn't sure about the texture for the background.

I experimented with foil but it wasn't really working - I didn't want to keep the outline on the text but when its not there, it was hardly readable so I needed something different.

I went for a 'creased' texture that could look like many different things, i.e. sky, sea etc. and I feel this one works a lot better. The one thing I'm unsure about is the title of the film - it looks a little too vivid on the blue background, but thats the colour from the official posters so I should keep it really.
